I recall when I was a kid that it would be death to be invited over to a neighbour’s home on a Saturday night to sit and watch slides of their trip to Florida. Yep, people took film pictures and had them developed as slides to project. (For some of you, it’s like ancient Roman graffiti.)
Times changed and slides became “a video of their trip to Florida.” It was still a horrible evening having to sit and listen to the host drone on about the deal they got on the hotel room or the poor service at a restaurant while their two-hour handheld out-of-focus video played.
But, thank goodness for progress; we now get to watch travel videos on Youtube. In fact, it’s a ‘category’ and we’re happy to add to the excitement with a video of a trip to Lisbon.
As an homage to those awful home travel movies, we created “The Ignorant Wanderer” – a video series that takes a playful view of travel.
